Myself and 3 friends booked a deer hunt with Joe last fall. He had a new lease that seemed promising, and after having an excellent experience in 2018, we went back in 2019. This years hunt surpassed our expectations by a long shot! We hunted 3rd season, and when we arrived, Joe let us know that because of early heavy snows, he recommended we get general bull tags. He charged us a modest fee in addition to our agreed upon deer hunt. Very reasonable, especially considering the game numbers. We purchased 2 bull tags, and probably should have got 4! We could have easily filled a dozen bull tags.
And the deer hunting was out of this world! Several bucks in the 170-180
Class! If we had been better hunters, and better shots, we all would have killed big bucks. We had a great time, Joe runs a
1st class operation. Highly reccomend his hunts!

Practice spotting and glassing! Deer we're very skittish, and difficult to get on if you bumped them. Shooting out to 400 yards is common, especially if you're like me and can't be sneaky!
Bring plenty of fire power! These are big, heavy deer! Leave the target rifle home, you'll be walking a lot carrying a gun if you want to get on the bigger deer!
