STORY

This was my 3rd elk, 1st bull with RMR out of 3 trips. The elk are always there, and Joe knows everything that’s going on at his ranches. Although the weather was warmer than most years and the movement was slower; we knew the elk were there by the numerous bugles at first light. It was just a waiting game, finding the cover and playing the wind. Can’t thank Joe enough for always being honest, forthright and helpful in every way.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Be patient, study your map, and get to a good, elevated vantage point. See where they are bedding and hunt them coming out at night. One day you may not see an elk, the next day you can see 20 (this is first rifle season). It’s hunting, however Joe will do whatever he can to make it a success.

RECOMMENDATION

Book a hunt, get in shape, and enjoy everything RMR has to offer, elk or no elk.
Be ready to shoot 200-350+, sometimes closer, but that would be average IMO.
